just a quick note to say that i am entering into the world of needles and hand stitching... my grandma used to do tons of embroidery (just try to find a pillowcase or a dishtowel in her house that was left untouched when she was around) so i figure that it's in my genetic makeup to be good at it... we shall see. i am motivated in the same way that i was motivated to learn to knit 9 years ago: i found a pattern that i fell in love with and knew that i had to learn how to make it. so, same goes with this sweet "book club" series by hillary lang of wee wonderfuls. so wish me luck and let me know if you have any tips for me as i embark on this possibly over-zealous journey... (and for those seasoned embroidery folk who may be reading this: do you all split your 6 stranded floss? if so, how many strands? i tried three and it seems a little big still...)
